the skellig

so.. the skelling is a very cool place. parking around there is non-existant, if you can believe it. its owned by the same owners as the burren, so expectingly, its VERY similar, two rooms, seperated by a hallway, music in the last room, wooden benches. i like the skellig much better than the burren. and they have all kinds of beers on tap. the food wasn't that bad either.

i met with laurie, an old coworker, she had some gossip about the old company, and old coworkers, it was nice to chat and gossip. she also was telling me about her new job, she works with kids from 0-13 who have been taken from their homes by dss, and placed in these houses. she kind of baby sits. but she has to write down what all the kids are doing/where they are every 15 minutes, and sometimes monitor their phone calls. it sounds very stressful to me. i could not imagine doing that job. and then the kids leave by getting placed in foster care, or back with their parents. and some of the stories about why the kids are there in the first place is so sad... it just seemed so sad and stressful a job..

but, i've always said, i'm not a "people person".

LK seems very upset with me. see her blog. http://lkellyfsc.blogspot.com/

sorry LuAnne if i sounded "insensitive" here.
